On November 27-28, 2025, the Taiwan-Europe Chip Innovation Forum 2025 (TECIF2025) was held in Dresden, Germany, where Professor Daisuke Yamane (RARA Associate Fellow) delivered an invited lecture.
Prof. Yamane delivered a lecture titled “An Electret Technology for CMOS-MEMS Devices” alongside his co-researcher, Associate Professor Ming-Huang Li from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, and Professor Wei-Leun Fang from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, who has provided support for collaborative research with Taiwan. The presentation introduced the research and outlined the international collaborative research framework. These efforts are also relevant to the research projects Prof. Yamane has been pursuing as a RARA Associate Fellow.
The forum, hosted by Taiwan’s National Institutes of Applied Research (NIAR), Europe’s Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (imec), Europractice, and Dresden University of Technology (TUD), focuses on technological innovation, talent cultivation, and cross-regional collaboration. It brings together leaders from industry, academia, and policy to explore the future of chip technologies.
Technical sessions and exhibition booths shared insights on advanced packaging, silicon photonics, smart sensing, advanced devices, and emerging memory. Meanwhile, initiatives to foster partnerships and develop semiconductor talent worldwide were also proposed.
