On November 6, 2024, Professor Satoshi Tanaka (RARA Fellow) gave an invited lecture at the 36th Information Transmission and Signal Processing Workshop, “Considering Urban Development and Sustainability: A Gathering from Three Cities,” organized by IEICE. Prof. Tanaka presented his research on the visualization of Kyoto’s town space and other topics under the theme of “high-resolution see-through visualization of tangible cultural assets using large-scale 3D point cloud data.” As the use of digital twin in urban space is expected to advance rapidly, cross-disciplinary research will become important and is expected to advance further.
