A research team led by Professor Hiromitsu Maeda (RARA Fellow) and Associate Professor Yohei Haketa (Ritsumeikan Global Innovation Research Organization), in collaboration with Kyoto University, Kitasato University, Tohoku University, National Institute for Materials Science, Ehime University, and Shinshu University, has successfully synthesized new ion pairs with benzoporphyrin AuIII complex, an expanded π-electronic cation. They were combined with bulky counteranions to form pseudo-polymorphic assemblies and exhibit electric conductivity properties.
The research achievements were published in Chemical Science, a journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry, U.K., on February 19, 2025 (local time).
