Professor Takeshi Nakagawa’s book has been published

On December 13, 2024, a book written by Professor Takeshi Nakagawa (RARA Fellow) was published in paperback by Iwanami Shoten, Publishers (written in Japanese). In the book, first published in 2015, Prof. Nakagawa, who has been collecting and analyzing varves from Lake Suigetsu for many years, looks back and records the process of how Lake Suigetsu in Fukui Prefecture became the world’s “standard clock” for measuring time over the past 50,000 years. The newly released paperback edition also includes updates on the research progress over the decade and heartwarming sequels.
