On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the inaugural “Ritsumeikan Award” ceremony was held at the Ritsumeikan Suzaku Campus. The “Ritsumeikan Award” was established in AY2025 as an initiative to recognize faculty and staff who have achieved outstanding results or made significant contributions in the fields of education, research, social contribution, and academic administration. The award aims to share achievements and contributions across the entire Ritsumeikan Academy that have been generated through collaboration and co-creation—a hallmark of Ritsumeikan’s organizational culture—transcending the boundaries of the universities, its affiliated schools, and job categories. This initiative seeks to promote seamless development across the Ritsumeikan Academy and the creation of new social value as Ritsumeikan. From a total of 103 nominations, 22 recipients (9 Main Awards and 13 Encouragement Awards) were selected for recognition.
